FORT WORTH, Texas (March 11, 2012) – Virbac Corporation today announced that two of its products will be featured in upcoming episodes of the Lifetime Network’s Designing Spaces television show. One episode will feature a segment on Virbac ANXITANE® (L-Theanine) Tablets, and a second episode will feature a segment on Virbac C.E.T. chews, oral solutions and toothpastes.
The Lifetime Network’s Designing Spaces is a home improvement television series that travels all over the country redefining and redesigning space. The show spans the genres of decorating ideas, do-it-yourself (DIY) projects, and step by step home improvements. Designing Pet Spaces of Hope was the focus of the two upcoming episodes in which the show adopts an animal shelter by way of the McKamey Animal Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Instead of decorating, DIY projects, and home improvements at the shelter, the goal was to spotlight companies lending a helping hand to keep sheltered animals healthy, and find them a loving home.
“We are extremely honored to be associated with a television show with a good cause, and one that reinforces Virbac’s passion for animals,” said Chris Marshall, director of marketing. “While Designing Spaces is best known for home improvement, we felt the focus on pet health improvement in the Designing Pet Spaces of Hope episodes was a natural fit for our products to be featured, and we think this product placement will help us reach both veterinarian customers and pet owners.”
The Designing Spaces air dates are as follows. Check local listings for times.
Thursday, March 21 – Lifetime Network - Designing Spaces “Adopts A Shelter,” Part 2
VIRBAC ANXITANE - Dr. Jeff Nichol, a resident in the specialty of veterinary behavior, was featured in the segment supported by Virbac and showcasing ANXITANE® Tablets. A major reason for relinquishment of pets to shelters is behavior problems. Some of these behaviors may be due to anxiety in pets. Being placed in a strange environment not just once (shelter) but twice (new home), can make anxiety a real issue.
Thursday, March 28 – Lifetime Network - Designing Spaces “Adopts A Shelter,” Part 3
VIRBAC DENTAL PRODUCTS – Virbac’s own, Dr. Heidi Lobprise, spent time with veterinary technician students discussing the importance of a strong dental program that includes regular oral exams, professional care when needed, and appropriate home care. She was able to demonstrate several methods of home care, using the broad range of Virbac chews, oral solutions and toothpastes.
The two respective Virbac product segments from each episode have been placed on the VirbacPet.com website for viewing at: www.virbacpets.com/designingspaces
