2012/02/16

Following an important year of development, the International Veterinary Senior Care Society (IVSCS), an organization focused on the medical and behavior care of senior pets, has elected officers for the 2012 calendar year.

  • President: Heidi Lobprise, DVM, DAVDC – Virbac
  • President Elect: Fred Metzger, DVM, DABVP – Metzger Animal Hospital
  • Secretary: Marsha Reich, DVM, DACVB; Maryland-Virginia Veterinary Behavioral Consulting
  • Treasurer: Dave Bruyette, DVM, ACVIM – VCA West Los Angeles

In addition to the elected officers above, IVSCS board members include: Bernadine Cruz, Julie Legred, Heather Lynch, David Merrick, and Ernie Ward.

After developmental meetings at NAVC, WVC and AVMA in 2011, the IVSCS established their formal mission: to provide resources targeting the complete health care needs of senior pets to the veterinarian, their team and clients.

The IVSCS is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Ft. Worth, Texas, but is open to veterinarians, technicians, and behaviorists from all over the world. Organization dues are complimentary for the 2012 calendar year, thanks to the support of Virbac. For more information about the organization, or to become a member, visit www.ivscs.org.
