Feeding & Food Transition Guidelines

Feeding Guidelines

These recommended daily feeding amounts are tailored to the reduced calorie needs of your spayed or neutered cat. Find the row that matches your cat’s weight and the column that matches your cat’s needs — you'll see separate feeding guidelines for cats that need to lose weight, cats that are indoors only and cats that spend time indoors and outdoors.

If feeding an intact cat, please talk to your veterinary team for feeding recommendations.

Transitioning Your Cat to VETERINARY HPM® Pet Food

When beginning a new food, it is recommended to transition your cat gradually. Begin introducing the new food as a portion of your cat’s regularly scheduled meals. You may increase the portion of the new food over a period of five consecutive days until your spayed or neutered cat is fully transitioned to VETERINARY HPM® Nutrition.
